I know, I know, we’re supposed to say it’s what’s on the inside that counts. But when it comes to your product? That outer layer better be doing some serious heavy lifting.

Because your packaging is the first thing people notice! Not your ingredients, not your brand story, not even your logo. It’s the visual vibe that makes someone stop scrolling or do a double take in the beauty aisle. That’s your make-or-break moment. You either get picked up… or passed over.

Why Good Packaging Design Is Basically Your Brand’s Wingwoman
1. First Impressions Are Everything (Yes, Even in Beauty/Wellness)

Let’s get nerdy for a second: A Nielsen study found that 64% of people try a new product purely because the packaging grabbed their attention (I am also guilty of this). Sixty-four percent! That’s a LOT of judgment based on your label, color palette, or how shiny your box is.

One of my favourite wellness clients came to me after launching with a basic logo and even more basic packaging (oh boy). The product? Brilliant. The sales? Not so much.

Customers were confused, boutiques weren’t calling back, and their website was... let’s just say not vibing. It was just blurred in the background.
